Premiere for the digital efficiency forums: ENGIE Refrigeration and Condair extend invitations to online events for the first time

08 September 2020

Proven concept in new format: In around two months, on 3 and 4 November 2020, the "Symposia for energy-efficient building technology and process cooling" by ENGIE Refrigeration and Condair will take place online for the first time. The participants can expect a total of six specialist presentations, which take up the current developments in the refrigeration sector and building technology and give specific recommendations for action. The events originally planned for 6 and 14 May 2020 at the BMW Welt venue in Munich and at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart had to be canceled by the two partner companies due to the corona pandemic in the spring.

Holding this year's efficiency forums virtually was a clear decision for ENGIE Refrigeration, refrigeration and heating specialist from Lindau on Lake Constance, and Condair, expert in air humidification and dehumidification. "We will present efficient and future-oriented solutions to our customers, especially in these challenging times, and show that we are a reliable and strong partner in any situation," says Tatiana Köhler, Head of Marketing and Communications at ENGIE Refrigeration, explaining the move. The participating planners, plant engineers, manufacturers and decision-makers from building technology and process cooling as well as specialist journalists can still rely on one thing: The online events reflect current technological know-how, best practice examples and exclusive expert knowledge. "In the digital efficiency forums, too, the participants benefit from our long-standing proven concept, which is unique in Germany: to combine the expertise gathered from the two specialist areas of refrigeration and heat generation as well as air humidification and dehumidification in a series of events," emphasizes Manuel Speiseder, Head of Marketing and Communication at Condair.

Expertise at the highest level
The Digital Efficiency Forums will take place on Tuesday, 3 and Wednesday, 4 November 2020, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Both events offer a diverse program: On the first day (3 November), Ralf Kießling, Project Manager Sales Support at ENGIE Refrigeration, will first report on his experience with the thermeco2 high-temperature heat pump used in the data center. Jörn Stiegelmeier, Head of Technology &Development at ENGIE Refrigeration, will then talk about the future of refrigerants before Klaus Achenbach, Market Development Manager Central Europe at Condair, will report on how gas-heated steam air humidification with DVGW-certified exhaust gas heat recovery increases efficiency. Kai Rewitz from the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at RWTH Aachen begins the second day (November 4) with an examination of the medical fundamentals and the positive health and economic effects of proper humidification in the workplace. Frank Benndorf, Sales lead at Condair, will then focus on the advantages of water as an efficient refrigerant for the future. The event will be concluded by Daniel Keller, Head of Sales Support at ENGIE Refrigeration, who will present the new QUANTUM Air with optional heat recovery. An interactive round of questions is planned between each of the presentations, which offers participants the opportunity to talk to the experts from ENGIE Refrigeration and Condair in person and to exchange ideas with colleagues from the industry.
