Sustainability is a high priority at ENGIE Deutschland. For its special achievements, the company received the highest award "Platinum" in the CSR rating of the internationally recognized sustainability rating platform EcoVadis. This makes ENGIE Deutschland one of the world's pioneers in the industry. The specialist for technology, energy and service was rated in the four categories "Environment", "Labor and Human Rights", "Ethics" and "Sustainable Procurement" and was above the industry average in all areas. With a total of 73 points, ENGIE Deutschland is one of the best 1% of all companies in the comparison group.

Assessment according to international standards

EcoVadis is the largest global cooperation platform for business partners to exchange information on the sustainability performance of their procurement chains. It is used globally as an important yardstick in the assessment of companies. The platform enables companies to measure and compare the performance of their suppliers in terms of sustainability across 150 industries and 110 countries. Many customers of the ENGIE Group use this platform to evaluate ENGIE as a supplier. The CSR rxperts at EcoVadis analyze the company data, supporting documents and further supporting material for the CSR strategy. The evaluation method is based on international standards such as the Global Reporting Index (GRI), the ISO 26000 standard and the principles of the Global Compact.

Intensive commitment

ENGIE Deutschland was already awarded gold status in the CSR ranking in the past. This year, the company was able to raise its sustainability performance even further. Manfred Schmitz, CEO of ENGIE Deutschland, is pleased about the award: "We are very proud that after the gold medal we have now received the platinum award from EcoVadis. At ENGIE Deutschland, we are working intensively to design processes sustainably and to optimize them continuously. The award recognizes our work and spurs us on to continue giving our all for higher ethical standards and greater sustainability." The best example of this is the "Zero Carbon Transition as a Service" mission that ENGIE Deutschland is pursuing. Key strategic objective: To support all customers with low-carbon2 technologies and services in improving their CO2 balance.
