Training professions

For us, training is an investment in the future: into yours and ours. After all, it is perfect if you get to know our customers' special interest in a comprehensive way: Pioneering spirit, efficient solutions and a lot of responsibility. Start with us, you will soon be familiar with all this and can also rely on a high level of training quality.

Which of the following trades are you interested in?

In companies of all industries, industrial clerks deal with commercial and business tasks such as material management, sales and marketing, human resources, financial and accounting. They work in companies in almost all sectors of the economy, for example in the electrical, automotive or textile industry.

Industrial clerk is a recognized training profession under the Vocational Training Act (BBiG).

This nationally regulated 3-year training is always offered by ENGIE Germany starting in September.

Technical system planners specializing in supply and equipment engineering draw up technical drawings and models for the production and installation of technical building equipment.  They work mainly in design and planning offices of building and plant engineering companies. They are also active in engineering and architectural offices and in public administration. In addition, they are employed, for example, by manufacturers of air conditioning and heating technology.

Technical system planner is a recognized training profession according to the Vocational Training Act (BBiG).

This nationally regulated 3.5-year training is always offered by ENGIE Germany starting in September.

Plant mechanics for sanitary, heating and air conditioning design and install supply systems and systems. They also maintain and repair them. They mainly work in supply-related installation companies or in heating and air conditioning systems manufacturers. In addition, there are employment opportunities for companies that create solar or rainwater utilities, for caretaker services, for companies in the field of facility management or for technical maintenance services.

Plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology is a recognized training profession according to the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) and the Crafts Code (HwO).

This nationally regulated 3-year training is always offered by ENGIE Germany starting in September.

Electronics engineers in the field of energy and building technology design electrical installations of buildings as well as their energy supply and infrastructure. They install the systems, put them into operation and maintain or repair them if necessary. They work mainly in companies of the electrical engineering trade, e.g. in the fields of technical building equipment, building automation, energy management, lighting and signaling systems as well as renewable energies. In addition, they can work in real estate companies, e.g. in facility management or janitorial services services. Manufacturers of electricity distribution and switching equipment or power generation equipment, such as wind turbines, are opening up further employment opportunities. Airport operations and hospitals and other public building operators are also eligible as employers.

Electronics technician is a recognized trainee profession according to the Crafts Code (HwO).

This nationally regulated 3.5-year training is always offered by ENGIE Germany starting in September.

Electronics engineers for operating technology install, maintain and repair electrical operating, production and process systems, from switching and control systems to power supply systems and communications and lighting equipment.  They work in particular for manufacturers of industrial process control devices, e.g. of storage-program controllers (PLC) or measurement, control and regulation technology facilities. Electrical installation companies that install technical building equipment or energy suppliers also offer employment opportunities. In addition, you can pursue your profession wherever production and operating equipment is used and maintained. The spectrum of possible fields of application ranges from the manufacturing industry to facility management.

Electronics technician for operating technology is a recognized training profession according to the Vocational Training Act (BBiG).

Electronics engineers for devices and systems control and monitor processes in the production and maintenance of information or communication technology and medical devices. They create production documents, set up production and testing machines and contribute to quality assurance. In addition, they take care of the procurement of components and equipment and support technicians or engineers in the implementation of orders. You install and configure programs or operating systems, check components, prepare device documentation or create layouts. Repair also falls within their area of responsibility. Electronics technicians specializing in devices and systems isolate the sources of faults and replace defective parts as part of customer service and when repairing devices. They also advise customers and provide instruction to users.

Electronics engineers for devices and systems work mainly in industrial companies that manufacture, assemble and maintain electronic systems, devices or components, e.g. in the areas of communication technology, medical technology, machines and plant engineering as well as in measurement and control technology.

This nationally regulated 3.5-year training is always offered by ENGIE Germany starting in September.

Mechatronics engineers for refrigeration technology design and assemble systems and systems for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology, including electrical and electronic components. They maintain the systems and convert them if necessary.  They work for companies that plan, install and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems. These can be specialized craft enterprises or larger enterprises of building technology. In addition, employment opportunities are offered in companies that use such systems and employ their own maintenance personnel, such as hospitals.

Mechatronic technician for refrigeration technology is a recognized training profession according to the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) and the Crafts Code (HwO).

Technical product designers support engineers in developing technical products. They design, construct and shape components and assemblies, as well as utility objects, using 3-D CAD programs.

If a machine, plant or tool is to be constructed, technical product designers support the engineers in the development. They design the models with 3-D CAD systems. For this purpose, they calculate all technical data of the planned workpieces, from volume and mass to center of gravity, torque and friction, and render them as three-dimensional drawings.

Not only do the technical specifications have to be precisely observed, but also, for example, the material and production methods are taken into account as early as the design stage: After all, the result should not only function perfectly later on, but also look appealing and be able to be manufactured economically. Technical product designers use computer simulations to test whether their design will stand up to the stresses and strains of practical use. They then produce the documentation, from which all the information important for later production can be found, and present their results to the customer.
